SAIL (Steel Authority of India Limited) produces various steel products, including TMT bars and structural steel sections. TMT (Thermo-Mechanically Treated) bars, commonly used in construction, are available in grades like Fe500, Fe500D, and Fe550, with sizes ranging from 8mm to 40mm. Structural steel sections include I-beams, H-beams, and channels, with dimensions varying based on the specific section. 

SAIL TMT Bars:

  • Grades: Fe500, Fe500D, Fe550, Fe550D. 
  • Sizes: 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, 20mm, 25mm, 28mm and 32mm
  • Key Properties: High yield strength, tensile strength, and elongation percentage. 
  • Applications: Reinforced concrete construction in buildings, bridges, flyovers, dams, etc., particularly in low to mild seismic zones. 
  • Conformity: All SAIL TMT bars comply with IS 1786:2008

SAIL Structural Steel Sections:

  • Types: I-beams, H-beams, channels, angles, etc.
  • Dimensions: Vary based on the specific section. For example:IPE I-beams: Available in various sizes like IPE 350, IPE 400, IPE 450, IPE 500, IPE 550, IPE 600, IPE 750.WPB sections: WPB 150×150, WPB 160×160, WPB 200×200, WPB 240×240, WPB 300×300.HE sections: HE 150, HE 160, HE 200, HE 240, HE 300, HE 340, HE 450.
  • Applications: Wide range of structural applications in construction, including buildings, bridges, and industrial structures.
